Current Color Palette

Being a self-proclaimed designer and lover of aesthetics, I make it a point to allow my style to evolve naturally. For the longest time my style was strictly minimal- black, white, and metallics; very basic. However throughout 2016 I’ve noticed that for whatever reason I have been gravitating towards the Scandinavian and farm chic style with elements of color; specifically pastels. Interior wise you could classify what I’ve been preferring as the entire stock of Ikea with a touch of Fixer Upper. As simple as that- Ikea and HGTV really. Fashion wise, I’ve found myself opting for a mint or baby blue top rather than grabbing the classic white. Very abnormal for me, even during the summer months. Overall my style has taken on a very European and feminine flare. While I still love a clean line and heavy presence of neutral tones, pops of color are proving to be a frequent during these warm and sunny months.

As I was at Home Depot a few weeks ago to grab white paint for the walls of my office/studio (surprise, surprise) I came across a stack of palettes on the paint counter that perfectly embody the tones I’ve been gravitating towards. Ones that will certainly be making an appearance in my bedroom and office through decor and furniture I flip. As you can tell by the redesign of my blog, clearly this palette has been quite the inspiration already. So don’t be too surprised to see more pops of pastel, mainly through posts, on here.

I’d have to classify this palette as a current favorite of mine. It has greatly influenced and inspired a lot of what I have and want to create and what I surround myself with. And mainly that’s why I wanted to share it will you. Isn’t inspiration just dandy?? That’s also why I’ve been on Pinterest nonstop lately. Come say hi on there!

What has inspired your style this season?
